25 Years. 128 Books. 1 Mission.

The day my dad died was one of the saddest days of my life; he was my hero. He was the one who taught me to never bypass my feelings and said, “It’s not what happens in life, it’s how you handle it that matters.” When he shared these thoughts with me, I never asked him who taught him this wisdom or how this wisdom played out in his life.

When he unexpectedly took his last breath, I realized while he had told me many stories about his life, I had not paid much attention; I was young and preoccupied with my own ambitions.  I stood at his grave wondering how he became the father and man I knew him to be. Who and what influenced him? There was so much more I wanted to know about him. I wanted to know the defining moments of his life and how he dealt with disappointments, triumphs, and what he had learned in his life. It was too late. Miographies - honoring the cherished stories of a lifetime - was founded in 1997.
